Term 1 - Holidays.

During my term one holidays, I spent my time indulging in my sleep, by sleeping in everyday till around 10 o’clock, and cleaning the house when I had nothing else to do. Also for a few days, I spent time with Bonnie; we went out for lunch to the Hot Bread shop and went to the movie theatre Cinema 5 in Whakatane with my older brother to watch
Dragonball.
I also spent a few nights with my nephews and their mother, we travelled to the Waiotahi beach and the park to keep us occupied.
Towards the end of the holidays the movie Twilight was released in the video store. Aleesha Willetts and I hired it out and watched it over and over again The next day we were bored so, Aleesha and I drove out to the Waiotahi Drifts so Aleesha could teach me how to better my driving skills in a manual car. On Sunday My mother, her partner and I made our way to Tauranga, to shop at the shopping centre Bayfair, it was terrible weather and we arrived there late, so we didn’t have much time to shop. We bought a few clothes and the movie Twilight.

Women and Alcohol - Part Two

This time we were asked to answer 1 of 3 questions and write half a page by answering the question.

Do you think lowering the drinking age to 18 was a good idea? Give reasons.

I think that lowering the legal drinking age in New Zealand to 18 was a bad idea, because now youths have easier ways or access to alcohol, by getting their older brothers and sisters to buy the substance.

I personally think that the legal drinking age needs to be risen to a more mature age, 18 year olds are fresh out of school and are still children themselves, and it’s leading to or communities being destroyed by violent and aggressive youths.

Also it is leading teenage girls that consume large amounts of alcohol to becoming teenage mothers, because they are so intoxicated they are more venerable to be taken advantage of, not necessary by someone they know, but could be by a complete stranger, who could then rape them or murder them.
A good idea would be to rise the drinking age to 20 or 21, to make sure that older and mature people have the choice of buying alcohol for youths, or abiding by the law and making them wait till they are the legal age to start drinking

Setting Up Your Blog.

Over these few weeks my Year 11 Information Management class have been making blogs, we have uploaded many things onto our blogs such as:
  • Our Profile called, About Me
  • Font Personalities
  • The keyboards we designed
  • The Women and Alcohol Story we typed
  • And how fast we can type.

and more, I enjoyed making a blog it's not all difficult but it can be sometimes. It's fun to choose the colours and ways to present our blogs, because we can make it how we like it, and make it all about us.
